I had the pleasure of meeting Louis Szathmary of Chicago when his restaurant The Bakery was in full swing. And there is more and that is the loss of Chicago. You could have dinner next to one of the old furnace if wished.I used to boast of my collection of Louis cookbooks on the rise, and about 500 books. He always congratulated me for having a fine collection and, from time to time I would tell him that it was now up to 700 or even 1000 cookbooks and he has always been very kind in his praise.
Then Louis died and left his collection of cookbooks at Johnson & Wales University. E 'was more than 6,000 cookbooks! Characterizing Louis, there is not much to say, but his actions spoke for and cooking incredible him.This is his recipe for smoked turkey salad. Turkey Enchiladas, Duck with Orange
2 (10 3/4-ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup 1 / 2 cup sour cream 1 / 2 cup diced green chilies 12 corn or flour tortillas 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese 1 cup Cheddar cheese 1 / 2 cup chopped onion 2 cups cooked, diced Wild Turkey nonstick cooking spray Combine soup, sour cream, and chili. Heat thoroughly. Warm tortillas in damp paper towel in microwave. The coat of a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Mix cheese, onion, turkey, and 1 cup of soup mixture. Put 2 tablespoons of cheese mixture in center of each tortilla turkey.
Roll tortillas and place in baking dish. Pour the soup mixture to tip. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover and top with sliced ripe olives and additional cheese if desired. Ground chuck and extra lean beef is more expensive than the regular.Did you know that you can reduce the fat in regular ground beef to 50 percent? This is something I was not aware of up to do a simple search on another article I was working. If your family budget does not allow for the leaner ground beef, there are steps you can take to actually take out about half the fat. I found this very simple procedure under intriguing.The pulls out half of fatNaturally we drained a lot of fat simply filtered through a strainer after cooking it.
But there are additional steps to reduce the fat even more. If you are preparing the beef that goes in spaghetti, chili, casseroles or even ... drain the fat out of it thoroughly in a colander after cooking.Then with a slotted spoon, remove the cooked meat is placed on a paper towel lined plate and let stand for one minute.
